Good Organisation

All staff receive a job description which clearly defines duties and responsibilities. We believe that a combination of challenging work, the opportunity to learn, recognition and trust are key requirements in ensuring job satisfaction. ANS seeks to achieve this by a comprehensive induction and foundation training for all new staff, regular performance reviews and appraisals.

Good Communication

Regular staff meetings take place. Management staff are always available and an “open door policy” operates,
whereby any member of staff may discuss any matter with the management team. We listen to and respect all comments made by staff and our Personnel Department is available to assist with employment issues.

The Company endeavours to fulfil the development needs of all staff to enable them to fulfil their role more effectively and enable them to maintain the highest standards of service to our clients.

Training needs are identified and appropriate programmes are planned to enhance performance, build on existing skills, expand knowledge and improve job satisfaction.

Staff are expected and encouraged to contribute and actively participate in their own development programme.

All registered nurses are encouraged to attend relevant courses and study days to maintain clinical skills and to meet professional development responsibilities.

The Care Assistants In-House Foundation Training follows completion of the ANS Induction Programme. This training is designed to help new care assistants become a member of the team and to understand their role. Our aim is to increase awareness and develop skills.

After six months and on completion of the Foundation Training Course, the centre manager or senior registered nurse reviews the progress of our care assistants in preparation for selection for NVQ Training.
